Senior Product Owner - Big Screens

We are looking for a Product Owner to join our Big Screen Team at our office in Stockholm. The Big Screen Team develops and maintains the Viaplay application on Playstation, XBOX, Samsung TV, Android TV and a bunch of other devices.
The position
As Product Owner for the Big Screen Team, your mission is to run the development of the Viaplay product on big screen devices including Playstation, Xbox and Smart TVs. You will work closely with people from the commercial, user and technology organizations to create the best possible service. Everyday work include road map planning, team stand-ups, market research, back-log grooming, technology discussions and acceptance testing. The Big Screen Team at Viaplay is cross-functional (Dev, UX, UI, QA) and agile, and can quickly adapt to changing priorities and new technologies. You will also work closely with the respective brands (PS, Xbox, Samsung, LG etc…) to coordinate new releases, new device launches and other collaborative efforts. Campaign and Partnership Managers at Viaplay will enjoy your company for setting marketing, campaign and PR activities.
The challenge ahead
Your challenge is to manage Viaplay’s Big Screen Product strategy in rain or shine to build the best possible product. You will apply data driven and iterative approaches to reach your business and user targets and to create impact for the company as a whole. You need to combine work on strategy and market research with acceptance testing, feature development and team tactics. We do need you to be hands on. The role includes the following key responsibilities:
- Perform market research of new technology, consumer electronics and product solutions
- Work closely with key stakeholders to agree road map and back-log
- Follow up on execution with the team and team dependencies to secure progress of key activities
- Compose strategies for the big screen product area
- Energize the organization as a whole and be a great leader
What we are looking for
For you to succeed in this role, we think that you are a collaborative individual with several years of relevant experience from business, technical or product management. Regardless of you previous job its beneficial to have experience from digital technologies. Most importantly, you are driven and passionate about streaming - just like us!
- Experience of developing digital products in an agile environment
- Experience of working with different stakeholders, both internal and external ie. different hardware manufacturers both across business, technology and user experience
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree or the equivalence
- Experience of leadership
- Experience of agile back-log management
- Curiosity in regards to new technology
Bonus qualifications
- Experience with A/B testing and data driven decision making
