Nordic Supply Chain Manager

Air Liquide is now looking for a Supply Chain Manager to supervise all Bulk gas distribution activities, including safety, quality, operations, finances and logistical resources in the Nordic countries. As Supply Chain Manager you will also lead and develop a team of 9 people located in Horsens, Malmö and Oulu. You will be based in Malmö, Taastrup or Horsens but you can expect traveling within the Nordic countries but also some business trips to European sites.
Manage and supervise Bulk logistics and schedule activities
Evaluate logistics feasibility, expected cost and required resources of new contracts;
Develop and implement means to optimize the logistical activities of the Distribution
Establish and maintain with Sales and Product Teams a priority list of installations to be delivered in case of product shortage.
Deploy logistics optimization tools for better investment decision-making and a more reliable and efficient supply chain.
Establish tactical sourcing programs and negotiate external contracts
Coordinate and optimize the efficiency of the sourcing of Bulk products
Take care of the documentation and the controls of Bulk product quality
Organize emergency supply deliveries (when cross-border supply are required) and manages rail car activities
Guardian of the liquide gas offer in the Nordics
Define medium-term and long-term product strategy at country/cluster level
Manage product profitability
Transport Fleet Management:
Define, negotiate and manage the transportation contracts for outsourced transportation, in coordination with the procurement organization
Manage fleet assets ( liquid trucks, trailers and bulk containers, etc.). Justify Investment and do the follow-up;
Monitor fleet performance
Competence and profile:
To apply for this role you have a degree in Engineering (logistics/supply chain or similar) and 5-10 years of work experience in distribution and transport. You have worked with Quality system (ISO) and a distribution system and preferably you have completed training in supplying and transporting dangerous goods. It is a requirement that you speak and write both a Scandinavian language and English. In addition, it is a major advantage if you have worked internationally and managed a team with team members located in different countries
In order to be successful in this role you have some financial knowledge and feel comfortable working in reporting tools and analysing data. You also have strong planning skills, which means you define objectives and identify what’s needed to achieve them, plan resources, anticipate future situations, establish work plans and follow up on actions.
As Supply Chain manager you have the ability to stay calm and efficient in crisis situations and your analytical mindset makes you consider all factors. You take quick decisions when necessary and accept the consequences and risks involved.
You are a good communicator and an active listener who consistently seeks to take in opinions and ideas. This means that you are good at building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and that you have a positive influence on your surrounding. In addition, you initiate actions and genuinely love to coach and develop your team as well as continuously improving processes.
