As Industrialisation and Quality Manager, you are part of the Operations Management team within the Piab Vacuum Automation division, leading a team of 4 direct reports.
You aim to create a scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient production with the right quality. You will be responsible for production setup of new products and for the quality assurance of our production and sourced components. You will:
- Manage and develop a strong Production and Quality engineering team in accordance with the division and Operations strategy with clear plans and goals to ensure good customer satisfaction
- Support new product launches
- Develop and implement a global industrialisation and quality strategy for the Piab Vacuum Automation division, with scalability, cost, and quality as key focus areas
- Develop production tools, methods, and work instructions for new products as a participant in new product development projects, with a high focus on built-in quality control and poka-yoke
- Drive process improvements within the Production Engineering function
- Provide support to the Supply Units when upgrading, trouble shooting and maintaining production equipment
- Lead and drive coordination between the different Supply Units regarding production engineering issues
- Process improvements and automation within the Vacuum Automation division
- Proactively work on minimizing product quality risks with R&D and Operations
- Drive improvements and implement tools and methods within the quality area
- Manage team workloads in order to meet goals and deadlines
You will work closely with our Supply Units located in Germany, Singapore, China, USA, as well as with Sourcing and R&D. The role reports directly to the Global Operations Director Vacuum Automation. The position is located in our current office in Täby, Sweden, to start with, but will be transferred along with our Piab Head office relocation to new premises in Danderyd, Sweden, later this year.

Skills, experience, and/or educational background:
- Minimum 7 years of work experience in production engineering, preferably in a lean manufacturing environment
- Higher degree in Engineering
- Strong technical skills
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written
- Fluency in Swedish is a merit
